MMM – The premise of “Music/Media to Ministry Mission” is to encourage aspiring students—future music and media professionals, entertainers, and business leaders—to use their creativity, gifts, and talents to inspire their peers in a modern ministry-like format beyond the conventional pulpit. The program seeks to drive youth toward producing content for the marketplace while positively impacting culture and society to lead a more positive and moral lifestyle. Our mission is to persuade an entire generation of young people to be the progenitors of their own prosperity by producing responsible and culturally relevant media, art, music, and entertainment.
We have designed this program that encourages our professional music and media partners, iLAEA members, local and national media outlets, and business and industry executives to give music/media mentorship, exposure, instruction, time, and expertise to motivated or at-risk students.
Our desire is to share the contributions of our Urban Inspirational community and related membership as well as that of nearby/ local area industry professionals by hosting a platform that facilitates the donation of their time, talent, skills, and resources to benefit school-age children and college-bound students.
This distinctive program features several mentorship, intern, and shadowing opportunities that provide students’ insight and an introduction to some of media, music/entertainment’s most notable careers, plus a few other music-related careers. They include but are not limited to the following: The importance/benefits of music on the learning process, Media/Music career(s) overview. Radio Show Programming & Production; Social Media, Viral Marketing, and Blogging Concepts; The 1 2 1 2’s of DJ’ing; Music Producing Basics; Managing a Studio; Software and Hardware Programs & Tools of the Trade; Music Publishing; Video Production, Editing, Writing, Directing; Creative/Graphic Arts Integration; Owning and Managing a Record Label; Singing/Performing/Playing Tips from the Magic Making Musicians & Artists; Media–Radio; TV; and Print Publications.
We believe revolution can be initiated by one—one who dares to think different, be who God called them to be, challenge blind traditions, and to do it in such excellence that it influences and impacts the world as we know it. We believe revolution can begin in our lifetime by directing and guiding the next generation according to how God has gifted them. Urban culture influences millions, some of which include our heritage—our children. We envision MMM students developing into peer influencers and subject matter experts conducting presentations, workshops, and online seminars for local schools and other youth programs enabling them to directly impact and inspire the culture.
